It's time to redefine the business professional

It takes more than showing up everyday to be a professional. The professional is continuously learning, honing their craft - they are creating professionalism through their daily actions.

Business is changing faster than any time in the history of capitalism. It's not about what you know, it's about what you're learning. If the surrounding environment is changing faster than ever you must learn to adapt at a faster pace as well. We are two-thirds of the way through 2013. How many books have you read about your profession of choice?

Way too many people count down the minutes until they "can" head home. If you're counting the minutes on the clock, you need to create a new profession for yourself. It may be one of the hardest things you've done in your life but it's the only real choice you have - assuming you actually want to have one.
